Aberfan Mini & Junior RFC was established in the summer of 1996, when there was a need for the young children in the area to participate in sport. Parents, children and the local schools were contacted, the response was absolutely tremendous. At the Club we want to promote and develop Mini & Junior rugby within the community. We are all committed to the success of the Club and securing its future. With continued support we are sure we will all benefit and witness the success by demonstrating the enthusiasm and commitment of players, sponsors and supporters alike.The Club which is now known as Ynysowen RFC Mini & Junior has now grown over the last few years with the increased numbers of children, teams and Volunteers. At present we are now running teams from under 9s, to under 12s. Whatever the age or experience of your child there are people at Ynysowen RFC Mini & Junior who are willing to spend time to help them develop into skilled rugby players within a structured set up. We train, we play, we tour and some of the time we win.
